About Elissa Sweet

I am an artist, editor, designer, and marketing consultant. I most recently served as the event and marketing manager for Bank Square Books and Savoy Bookshop & Café and the deputy copy chief for Time magazine. I have edited more than 100 books, ranging from adult fiction to young adult novels to political nonfiction. I have also worked as a project manager and editor for a legal consulting firm, as a copy editor and writer for various newspapers and magazines, as a graphic designer, and as a freelance publicist. My art focuses largely on watercolor and ink botanical and bird illustrations and on digital portraits and logos.

I grew up in Northern Michigan, spent eight years in New York City, and now live 10 minutes from the beach in Westerly, Rhode Island. I can most often be found on the beach searching for seaglass, covered in dirt in my garden, painting in my studio, or buried in a good book.
